Holland is world famous for its flowers that is tulip. Keukenhof Gardens is the best places to see those flowers. There are seven million tulips in the Keukonhof garden. This garden is over eighty acres of flowers and over two thousand varieties of tulips. Keukenhof is only open for eight weeks out of the year that is between March and May. In those eight weeks over a million tourists come here from all over the world. This garden is known as the “Garden of Europe”, and one of the most beautiful garden in the world.
This garden is absolutely gorgeous, every color you can imagine of flowers. It’s really peaceful, you could walk around here all day long. The combination of the colors of the flowers is very nice and the flowers are just amazing.
In Hollywood there’s a Walk of Fame, at the Keukenhof Gardens there’s a Walk of Fame for tulips.
These tulips are named after celebrities, activists, political figures. The most favorites is the Vincent van Gogh tulip. It’s a black tulip and its one of the most rare in the world.
How to get to Keukenhof
Keukenhof gardens is located in Lisse, province of South Holland, Netherlands. There are so many options to travel to this garden. The most popular options is by public transportion (Bus). This option is the most cheaply and quickly option to get to Keukenhof Garden. In 2020 season, you can take special bus route directly to the garden. This bus route is called Keukenhof Express. The Keukenhof Express has 4 routes:
- 858 – this line is starts from Schiphol airport
- 854 – starts from Leiden
- 859 – this line is starts from Hofddorp
- 852 – starts from Amsterdam RAI
Unfortunately, Keukenhof is not open in 2020 season due to the Corona Virus. But don’t be a worry, you still can enjoy this garden landscape by taking a virtual tour.

Michael van ver Voet is the gardener at Keukenhof. He’s been a gardener at Keukenhof for 24 years. He will bring you to the Willem Alexander Pavilion. The pavilion has over 1000 beds with more than 500 different tulips species such as “red pride”, “paint brush”, “chongging beauty”and many more. The beautiful of tulips is they are all so colourful. Keukenhof has many different types of tulips, for example: lily-flowered tulips, double tulips, parrot tulips, and many more. Tulips is exists in many color excepts black and blue.
